Harmony and unity within the field of polar forces—however different they may appear, painting and Yoga are deeply connected for me: painting as meditation in color, Yoga as meditation in movement. Both open profoundly sensual spaces of experience.
I discovered Yoga during my studies; years later, my very first classes took place in my painting studio—among my artworks. Since then, these two worlds have naturally intertwined.
My predominantly large-scale works are composed of vibrant, organic forms and open up spaces of free association. They do not tell stories; instead, they invite immersion. Rather than viewing a motif from the outside, the viewer is invited into dialogue—with their own associations, memories, feelings, and sensations. The paintings become spaces for resonance in which control and analytical perception recede, making room for immediate inner experience through color and form.
What is visible seems to shift in the very next moment. In this way, a continuous journey of discovery unfolds—externally as well as internally.
From this perspective, I am especially fascinated by the intersection of Art and bodywork and by the transformative power of creativity. For more than 20 years, these themes have shaped my work as an Art teacher at secondary schools. Today, I share my experience and knowledge in workshops, courses, and retreats—among them the Find Your Flow Retreat for adults and the kids’ program during the Ashtanga & Yoga Doc Week with Dr. Ronald and Dr. Melanie Steiner.
Some works are available for purchase and may find a lasting place in your home. Prices upon request. My paintings are held in private and public collections in Germany, Ireland, Denmark, and the United States.
